VCE study tips - How to prepare at the last moment?

VCE or Victorian Certificate of Education is taught in 11th and 12th year of secondary college. Although many parents and students think that VCE exams are extremely difficult to crack, it isn’t so. With proper guidance and timely preparations, anyone can come out with flying colors in these exams. But what when you have less time on hand to prepare? Let us take a look at some last moment study tips, which will help VCE students:
  1. Do some mind-mapping: When you look at all the course materials you have, it will look no less than a Herculean task. This is where you need to do some mind-mapping. Break it down into small, achievable goals and tackle them one by one. For instance, gather all your notes for vce end of year lectures and sort them in order of increasing difficulty. This will also help you speed up the preparation.

  2. Clear out clutter: If your study area is a mess of papers, eatables, gadgets and other knick knacks, then it becomes the center of all procrastination activities. How can you even study tough subjects (think vce Biology exams and vce Chemistry exams) in such an atmosphere? Hence, clean out the study space and ensure that it is comfortable so that you can sit and study at a stretch.

  3. Take small breaks in between: Studying continuously for specialist Maths vce (for vce further Maths exams) or other such subjects that need your full concentration, can leave you exhausted. This is why you must take small breaks in between. For instance, you can take breaks between consecutive chapters.

  4. Audio tutorials: Audio tutorials are a great way to revise. You can listen to them anywhere you want and take notes easily. With numerous gadgets available, this becomes a handy preparation tool. For instance, you can find a number of vce English or vce Economics tutor audio notes to help you revise lengthy chapters quickly.

How to conquer your fears by going through question papers of past exams of VCE?

VCE is an acronym that expands to Victorian Certificate of Education. It is the credential that is awarded to secondary school students, who complete their high school level studies in Victoria, Australia. Established in the year 1987, it replaced the earlier credential – HSC (Higher School Certificate).

As is the norm, this credential is given to students after they complete their study for VCE over two years. However, in certain cases, it can be extended to more than two years.

Studying for VCE can be an unnerving experience for some students given the pressure of passing examinations successfully and selecting courses, which will lay the foundation of the rest of their lives and career.

In such scenario, they can take counseling and select their subjects, which can include- maths methods vce, vce english study design, vce biology, vce chemistry, vce physics etc. to name a few. And in order to know and understand the structure of VCE examination, they can check out question papers of past exams vce, either from the internet or ask their school to provide them the same.

In my opinion, VCE exams are nothing to be afraid of. Whether you are a student who has opted for maths methods vce or vce english study design, or any other subject for that matter, once you have a firm grip over your studies, and know what sort of questions have been asked in past exams vce, you can plan and study for your exams and that too without cutting down your time for extracurricular activities or socializing.

I am sure that when you start preparing for VCE well in advance, you will surely taste success. All the best!
